BS EN 10088-3 is the material standard for stainless steel long products for general purposes.
The current edition was published in October 2014. There have been 15 new grades added compared to the
2005 edition and the compositions of 2 grades have been changed. LAST UPDATED 28th NOVEMBER 2014.
The new grades added include austenitic grades, 1.4615, 1.4646, 1.4020, 1.4378, austenitic-ferritic, (duplex), grades
1.4162, 1.4662, 1.4482, 1.4062, 1.4669, 1.4658, ferritic grades, 1.4611, 1.4621, 1.4613, martensitic grade, 1.4150,
and precipitation hardening grade, 1.4612

Introduction
BS EN 10088-3 is the material standard for stainless steel semi-finished products, bars, rods and sections for general purposes.
Ferritic, martensitic, precipitation hardening, austenitic and austenitic-ferritic, (duplex), grades are included.
The chemical composition of all the grades of stainless steel covered in the standard are listed.
